5 Holiday Cocktail Alternatives to Egg Nog

While the go-to drink for most holiday parties and celebrations this time of year usually tends to be some kind egg nog-related mix, we think you deserve something a little more exotic. Nogs are nice and all, but believe there’s a better way to enjoy a creamy, indulgent holiday drink. We’re happy to share our top five festive holiday recipes, and each drink features different ingredients that put us in the holiday spirit—including candy canes and cookies as garnish.

NogruS

Just when you thought cream liqueurs wouldn’t mix well with say perhaps, a bourbon, the Nogrus arrives just in time for the holidays. This cocktail has a bit of a kick to it, but it balances well with simple syrup and SomruS’ sweet undertones.

Mulled SomruS

As a liqueur “steeped” in the flavors of India, we’re all about spice, and this holiday cocktail has a little bit of everything including a cinnamon stick garnish and a healthy serving of one of our favorite complimentary cocktail ingredients, Grand Marnier. This mulling recipe imbues SomruS with spices like star anise, cloves and cinnamon for a festively warm winter wonder.

In Mint Condition

This is one of the crown jewels of our holiday cocktail collection, (after all, any drink served in a martini glass is 100% more fun). It’s easy to make and tastes as good as it looks. There are so many reasons to love December, but this might just be your new favorite.

Gingerbread Gent

It wouldn’t be the holidays without gingerbread! This holiday cocktail blends ginger liqueur, Frangelico, and Scotch together to create a unique gingerbread flavor without the need or hassle of baking up a plate of gingerbread cookies. (Also pairs well with gingerbread cookies).

Santa’s Snow Cone

Last, but certainly not least is Santa’s Snow Cone, which happens to taste amazing alongside oatmeal cookies. If you really want to surprise the big man once he makes his way to your home for the holidays, swap out plain old milk with this delicious holiday cocktail. (Or have one for yourself!)
